First and foremost to anyone purchasing this game, make sure you get the Hong Kong/Asian version and NOT the Japanese version. The Japanese version has all menus in Japanese, making it harder to navigate. There is still a lot of Asian text to deal with in the Asian version, but the main menus and most in-game menus are in English. All audio dialogue is in English. You know you have the Asian version when you see a specific Asian text character on the corner of the cover (and not a D). It should look like this:
As mentioned in the trophy breakout I very strongly suggest 3 playthroughs but platinum can be obtained with two playthroughs and then some video watching on Very Sweet difficulty. Here is how you should attack the game: Playthrough 1 - Mild Difficulty Mild is really "normal" difficulty here. During this playthrough you are really just doing a straight playthrough. There is no reason to specifically press for trophies except for 2, one of which is a  trophy and the other which is a collection trophy. See the secret trophy section for info on the first trophy. The collection trophy we are going to be focusing on is the collection of trading cards, there is a map below. I would also buy all weapons and upgrades on this playthrough because my second suggested playthrough is on the easiest difficulty, see the next paragraph for more. The last thing I suggest is learning all of Lovikov's techniques on this playthrough because it will make side jobs and UAA fights easier. See below for a map of the balls you need to collect. If you skip playthrough two then you should actually avoid using weapons. You will need to beat the game with the Bloodberry WITHOUT dying during any UAA Fights. Playthrough 2 - Very Sweet Difficulty (suggested) The reason I suggest this playthrough is because it is going to make beating the game with the Bloodberry (standard weapon), assassination and free fight missions so much easier. If you want to do this in two playthroughs you can skip this but then you should get everything suggested here on your Mild playthrough. Since the game is very easy on this mode it's also easy to grind for money which you will be doing a lot of. You can ignore buying weapons on this play, because you should've gotten it on play 1. Just focus on getting money for all the clothing. You can also do all the Thunder Ryu training here and I would also get the 5,100 kill trophy on this play. Basically I would try very hard to get every trophy except for beating the game on bitter difficulty before taking on the hardest level in the game. Playthrough 3 - Bitter Difficulty If following this guide I would again suggest getting all other trophies before playing this mode. This is the hardest difficulty and it is hard. Having a fully upgraded weapon will help but your greatest asset will be patience. Block a lot and only strike when you can hit. Once you finish this playthrough you should have plat if you followed the guide. Note that this guide has the trophies, descriptions and images set up differently that other guides just because it's a Japanese game and all of the trophy titles are in Japanese. I found the side jobs to be very easy except for maybe one. If you do a side job and it seems impossible to get gold on, it's probably because you need to get more of Lolkilov Balls and techniques. This is explained under another trophy below. The jobs are in order of how they appear in the game. To start side jobs you need to go to the pink circle with a little dude in white inside the circle. Go there, pick a job and go to the job on the map.

Gold for these missions is based on time to complete and damage taken, so do your best to not get hit much and try to complete them ASAP. I'm not going to go in depth with each of the 20 missions because they are all combat related and are best done on your own over and over again until you get it. That may sound like a cop out, but you will agree once you dig into the game.  スリルが欲しいんでしょ？ (You want the thrill?) Free Final GOLD won one of the evaluation Earn 1 Gold Medal in a Free Fight Mission Difficulty:  See Earn Gold Medals in all 10 Free Fight Missions.  ギリギリでイかされないようにね (I installed it at the last minute to avoid) Free Final GOLD won five of the evaluation Earn 5 Gold Medals in Free Fight Missions Difficulty: See Earn Gold Medals in all 10 Free Fight Missions.  信じてたわ アナタの力を (I believed I ANATA power) Free Final GOLD won 10 of the evaluation Earn Gold Medals in all 10 Free Fight Missions Difficulty: The worst part of the side missions are these Free Fight Missions which place you in a room of bad guys with one pixel of health. One hit and you are done for. Just like the assassination missions and S Rank below, this is easiest on Very Sweet mode. Your best plan of attack is to block and run. Try and attack one person at a time. I found myself running into trouble when attacking groups because one would always get a cheap shot on you. That's easier said than done but thankfully these can be done over and over again meaning you can try different strategies if your first try doesn't work.  ＳはシルヴィアのＳなのよ 知ってた? (I knew Sylvia S is a S?) Ranking against all S rank obtained Earn S rank on all UAA assassination missions Difficulty: This is another trophy that I suggest going for on your Very Sweet playthrough as it's not easy on Mild and nearly impossible on Bitter. Each main mission (UAA Fight) has a grade based on how fast you completed the mission and how much damage you took during the mission. Obviously the faster you go and the less you get hit, the better. If going for this on Very Sweet the game is just much easier than any other difficulty and should make getting S rank easier. Note that you cannot just run past enemies, that's not the way this game works. All enemies must be beaten before the next section opens. It's always best to block frequently (  ) and try your very hardest not to die during the boss battle. If you do complete the mission and find that you didn't get an S-Rank, It's OK as you can re-do any beaten mission at any time. When in Travis' apartment go to his living room and go to Armchair. From there select Nightmares and those are the UAA missions. Pick the one you need to complete and do your best to get an S Rank. 殺り慣れてきたわね (I'm starting to get used 殺Ri) 51 Zakoenemi body defeated by all means Defeat 51 Enemies Difficulty: See Defeat 5,100 Enemies.  その調子で殺りつづけて！ 510 Zakoenemi body defeated by all means Defeat 510 Enemies Difficulty: See Defeat 5,100 Enemies.   その調子で殺りつづけて！ 5,100 Zakoenemi body defeated by all means Defeat 5,100 Enemies Difficulty:  Not at all hard, just really freaking time consuming. There also isn't a counter that I could find in any of the game menus. You should easily have 510 by the end of your first playthrough but after that it's just a stupid grind. One way to grind this more quickly is to do Assassination Mission 6 over and over again. That is a guaranteed 100 kills and only takes 3 to 4 minutes. I suggest getting this over with during your Very Sweet playthrough just because the enemies go down much more easily and that way you can just focus on playing the game for the Bitter playthrough.  損害賠償金の請求が協会にきてるんだけど (I'm coming to the association's claim damages) The furniture was destroyed in 51 Santadesutoroi Drive over 51 objects in Santa Destroy Difficulty: See Drive over 510 objects in Santa Destroy  アナタの賞金から賠償金引いとくから (Compensation from the prize draw ANATA Toku) The furniture was destroyed in 510 Santadesutoroi Drive over 510 objects in Santa Destroy Difficulty: This apparently doesn't translate well as the copied trophy description refers to furniture. I can promise you this has nothing to do with furniture. All you need to do is drive over 510 objects in the open world when on your motorcycle. This includes trees, power lines and light posts. If it looks like you can knock it down, it will come down. If you want to get this in one go then you can just do a few laps around the city and you'll get it in 10 to 15 minutes. Otherwise I think you can just drive over stuff to and from your missions and side jobs and you'll get it quicker than you think.  新作？ 次まで待っとけ、オタク野郎！ (New? Wait until melted the next guy geeks!) Complete with parts of the beam katana Purchase all Beam Katanas and Upgrades Difficulty: There are 3 Katanas with some different accessories. Certain Katanas open up after certain missions. The order they open and their price is as follows: Blood Berry - This is what you start with Tsubaki - $98,000 - Beat Rank 9 Tsubaki Mk-II - $148,000 - Beat Rank 6 Tsubaki Mk-III - $498,000 - Beat Rank 3 To open the option to buy the Mark II and III you need to go to Naomi (sword icon on the map) after the 6th and 3rd ranking fights. You then hand her something from those fights (you won't see this, but that's what all the Japanese text is telling you) which allow her to make the better weapons. Leave her shop and ride around or do a side job. After 20 or 30 in game minutes the swords will open for purchase. NOTE, if you are going for the trophy that requires you to beat each UAA battle with the BloodBerry make sure you have the BloodBerry equipped when in your apartment (in the drawer in Travis' room). Now here are the accessories: Accelerator - $29800 Clear Rank 9 Energy Save I - $29,800 -Must Have Tsubaki Power Up I - $29,800 -Must Have Tsubaki Energy Save II - $29,800 -Must Have Tsubaki Mk2 Power Up II $49,800 -Must Have Tsubaki Mk2 Power Up III $99,800 -Must Have Tsubaki Mk3 Energy Save III - $999,999 Have Tsubaki Mk3 You see that last one? Yeah, it's a ton of money. A great thing to do is grind Assassination Mission 6 as that should net you about $120k per battle.  店じまいだぜ兄弟 (Brother I'm going out of business) AREA51 bought up the products Purchase all items from Area 51 Difficulty: You will need to purchase all of the T-shirts in the shop for the next two trophies and that's the biggest number of items in the store. The other items include sunglasses, jacket, pants and belt. Grind for money and buy everything for this to unlock. There are a lot of T-Shirts and they get expensive so it's going to take some grinding to get them all, but you will need to on the way to platinum anyhow. Per CO Mel's clothing FAQ you will need a total of $811,500 to purchase all the shirts. Click here for a map of where the T-Shirts are located (click the + signs to look at the map and description of where they are).  シルちゃんカードは激レアよ (Sill her card I rhea) Collection of trading cards in half Collect half of the games trading cards Difficulty: See next trophy for info.  オタクって絶対コンプするわよね (Maybe I'll see that I never Comp Geek) The complete trading cards Collect all of the games trading cards Difficulty: This takes a minimum of 2 playthroughs. On the first playthrough you will find the majority of cards during your UAA fights. Just comb each area, they aren't very hard to find. Then, on the second playthrough you will still be getting (different) cards in the same spots as before, but there are also cards to "dig" for in the open world. Click here for a map of the trading cards.  トラヴィス！ オマエの投げは最高だ！ (Travis! Oi you throw is the best!) Acquired all of the wrestling techniques Learn all in game Wrestling moves Difficulty: Wrestling moves are learned by picking up wrestling masks prior to each assassination fight (except for #5). The only move you learn which is not picked up is when playing the last boss for the "Real Ending" so the only way to get this is by completing the game with that real ending at least once. As long as you picked up all the other wrestling masks prior to the final final boss fight the trophy will pop prior to that final boss fight.  おう アレだ 道を極めたな (That sort of Unusual road king) All have completed training Complete all of Thunder Ryu's Training Difficulty: After the 3rd or 4th mission (meaning 6th or 7th rank) you will see a new location show up on the map right near your apartment. It's some Japanese letters that are yellow in a black circle. This is Thunder Ryu's training facility. As soon as this opens up you must go to it before the next UAA fight for the rest of the game. There are three button pushing minigames (dumbbells, squats and bench press) that you must complete. You have to do this before each UAA fight because each minigame has a new level in between fights. You should get this when completing the last round prior to UAA fight number 1.  免許皆伝だ 迷うことなく突き進め (Plunge forward without hesitation that initiation into the secrets) The techniques 皆伝 Robyikofu Learn all techniques from Lovikov Difficulty: This was the one part of the game that was totally lost in translation for me. Lovikov is a Russian wrestler who hangs out drunk in a bar right near Thunder Ryu's training facility. You learn new techniques from him by picking up Lovikov balls around the map and turning them in. Apparently some of these techniques make certain missions easier and a few teach you new moves. I didn't get any of this through my first playthrough because I had no idea what was going on. The balls are red highlighted in yellow all over the map. After you learn the first or second technique from him you will see all the balls on your map and there are very easy to find. If you need help, use this map. Also remember that you have to go back to Lovikov when you find them all, that is when the trophy will unlock.  意外と甘かった？ でも私は甘くみないでね (Surprisingly sweet? But I like sweet, without looking at) Difficulty of "BITTER" cleared game Beat the game on Bitter difficulty Difficulty: Bitter difficulty only opens after you beat the game once. You can do a New Game+ which will allow you to keep all your weapons. I've seen it said that this is "easy" with the fully upgraded level 3 Katana but I personally disagree. The boss battles will take 100's of hits to bring them down and their attacks do more damage. I had enough trouble with this game on Mild so this difficulty is just killer for me. The best advice is to block as much as you can and try to take one enemy on at a time. Note that going for the "Real Ending" is not a good idea on this difficulty (see secret trophies). I've read that the final boss you need to beat for the real ending takes over 900 hits before he goes down.  デストロイ・ウォーリアーズが一位指名したいそうよ (I want to do is designate a place Warriors Destroy) 打Chi返Shita beam katana in non-fast shooting guard piece Doctor Deflect Dr. Peace's charged attack Difficulty: The next three trophies are all similar and pretty easy to do. For Dr. Peace you need to deflect his charged attack with  . I suggest being somewhat far away from Peace and spamming the button after he starts his charged attack. Hit one of them and the trophy pops right away. ハリウッドデビューも近いかも (Hollywood debut may be near) The beam katana in Desutoroiman 打Chi返Shita Desutoroikyanon Deflect Destoryman's charged attack Difficulty: Just like Dr. Peace you are going to be using to deflect a charged attack. Destroyman's attack is different than Dr. Peace's but the strategy is the same. Spam after he starts charging and you should get it. そっちのバットさばきは上手なのね (I judge a good bat is over there) Human cloning in the beam katana 打Chi返Shita come flying in batting Bad Girl Deflect a human clone batted from Bad Girl Difficulty: This one is a little different because this isn't a charged attack it's more of an object-throwing attack. At some point during Bad Girl's fight she will go to the side of the room with a conveyor belt. Clone slaves come down the belt and she bats them at you. You want to hit to deflect the attack but what's different about this one is that you will have to hit the  button after you connect with the slave. Just pay attention when Bad Girl starts batting and you should get this pretty easily. いい夢見れた？ (Reta good dream?) "The return game nightmare" for the Katsu Tamotsu in BLOODBERRY Beat all UAA Fights with the Bloodberry without Dying Difficulty: This should be fairly easy on Very Sweet which is where I recommend it. Any other difficulty will cause you some problems. If you die I'd suggest resetting the game because I am not sure if you can do this by replaying any missions you died during and I don't want to lead anyone astray. I've said this in a few places, but exercise patience and you will do it.  随分 お盛んみたいね (It looks like your fairly popular) It looks like your fairly popular All enjoyed a little erotic costume Difficulty: If you are doing a Very Sweet playthrough like I suggest you will get this because you will come across all the females again and they will be wearing different clothing. If you aren't doing a Very Sweet playthrough then I suggest at least starting a very sweet playthrough and getting through the first UAA mission to Travis' apartment. Once there you can go to armchair mode and watch all of the videos again. Once you see the last girl in her new outfit this will unlock.  そのコーデ ドン引きでしょ… (You pull that Don Corde ...) Bizarujeri costume uniform systems Dress Travis as his favorite anime character Difficulty: I'd guess this is the easiest trophy in the game but you just have to wait until you are ranked 2 to do it. Once ranked 2 go to Area 51 and buy the following items: Sunglasses - Purple - 005 Jacket - Bizarre Jelly - 010 Jeans - Pure White - 012 Belt - Pink - 010 Now go back to your apartment and put on T-Shirt 002. At this point the trophy should pop. Note that the sunglasses are available prior to rank 2 and the T-Shirt is one you start out with. The other items are all after you hit rank 2 so I suggest you just wait until then to do it.  やるじゃない (Do Not) Continue to defeat enemies in no damage, breaking the chains 30 Get a 30 chain kill streak Difficulty: Apparently you can get this on the first tutorial level but I have no idea how because everything is in Japanese. Instead, I got this on the 6th assassination mission where you have to kill 100 enemies. You don't need to do this in any set amount of time, you just need to kill 30 people without getting hit. That means it's best to avoid groups that circle around you, try to only go after those that are in front of you. If you are using the maxed out level 3 weapon you should be able to do this pretty easily as every finishing move you do can take out several people at once.  デストロイ超特急 フルスロットル！ (Full Throttle Destroy Super Express!) 切Rasazu boosters to the bike, the furniture was destroyed in 51 Santadesutoroi Hit 51 items in a single boost on your motorcycle Difficulty: Maybe this was just hard for me, but I did have some issues with this. When riding your motorcycle you want to hold to boost. I am sure you will notice there is no where near enough boost to do this but there is a trick to keep your boost meter full. When driving with boost pressed just hit the button and turn a bit to the side. You will skid and your boost meter will fill back up. Keep doing this as long as you can and try to knock down as much as you can. I'd suggest going after trees as there are a lot of them in certain places. This might be easy for others, but it's not for me. あっちの運転も下手そうね (Well too bad over there driving) Riding a bike, a passer-by near misses and 51 times in the Santadesutoroi Get 51 near misses while riding your motorcycle Difficulty: When riding your bike through the open world you will see people walking here and there. Just try to run over them and they will say something like "Hey" or "Ohhh!". Once you do this 51 times it's another trophy unlocked.  カルガリー時代の日々を思い出した？ (I remember during the days of Calgary?) Made 10 consecutive successful wrestling techniques Perform 10 consecutive wresting moves Difficulty: This is very easy to do, you just need to complete 10 wrestling moves successfully in a row. Note I said successfully because if you mess up the last step (pressing the two analog sticks in the direction the game tells you to) this will not count. The good news is you don't have to do just wrestling moves 10 times in a row, you can mix them in between your normal combat. Just pay attention to the last step and you should get this easily.  なんか剣の達人みたい (Something like a master of the sword) Had a successful five times in a row just to guard Block 5 consecutive attacks Difficulty: This is pretty easy to do, all you need is to block 5 attacks in a row. To block an attack you must not be locked on to any opponent and you must hit as soon as someone else attacks you. A great spot to farm this is on the number 9 battle when you meet the baseball pitchers (not the ones you have to swing at, the ones that are mixed in with other enemies). As soon as they throw a ball look to hit as it's coming at you. Rinse and repeat 5 times in all for the trophy. 師匠超えちゃった？ (Teacher got more than?) No damage, clear the stage ranking Clear an entire UAA mission with no damage taken Difficulty: This could be difficult unless you use the right mission. The best mission to choose is the 5th assassination fight as it has the least enemies and the boss is the easiest of the bunch. Just make sure to guard and only attack when the enemies are open. Hitting  to stun them and use a wrestling move works very well. I'd recommend going for this on the Very Sweet playthrough. もうトイレに住んじゃえば？ (If you live in the toilet Jae yet?) All using the toilet Save at every toilet Difficulty: Remember when Resident Evil used typewriters as a save device? Well NMH goes one better and uses toilets. There are 11 toilets total (1 in Travis' apartment and the rest before UAA fights) and they are not hard to find. Just save at all of them and the trophy is yours.  とうとう魔法使いになった？ (Finally became a magician?) Items recovered from a magic stick issued Turn your katana into a magic wand and connect on an attack Difficulty: This happens during the 4th UAA battle against the magic man. At some point during the battle (this might have to be difficulty Mild or higher, I didn't get this to happen during Sweet or Very Sweet) you will lock your katana with his magic wand. Don't do anything. The second time it happens, still don't do anything and at that point your Katana should be a magic wand. Now all you need to do is get one hit in and the trophy will pop.
